From Los Angeles Car-Sharing Recoveries to Nationwide Fleet Support

Impound Compliance began providing vehicle impound recovery in Los Angeles, California, in 2008. We first helped car-sharing companies recover impounded vehicles from tow yards throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

As the car-sharing industry grew, so did the need for a reliable recovery process. Every day a vehicle remained impounded meant added storage charges, lost revenue, and one less vehicle available to customers.

We later expanded our work to rental car companies facing many of the same problems. Recovering these vehicles required ownership records, corporate authorization, agency releases, payment coordination, storage fee review and negotiation, and transportation back to the fleet.

When towing or storage charges appeared excessive or incorrect, we contacted the tow facility to review the fees and negotiate reductions when possible. Fee reductions depend on the facility, jurisdiction, case details, and applicable regulations.

We built Impound Compliance to manage that process from start to finish.

What began with car-sharing vehicles in Los Angeles grew into a nationwide vehicle impound recovery company. Today, we assist car-sharing and mobility companies, rental car companies, fleet operators, corporate vehicle programs, leasing companies, insurers, dealerships, and other organizations across the United States.

Since 2008, our team has helped recover more than 50,000 vehicles. Our reach has grown, but our purpose remains the same: reduce avoidable fees and get impounded vehicles released, recovered, and back into service.
